Buckwheat is a super food, which is highly nutritious as it is a very good source of protein, fibre and complex carbohydrates. It is gluten free so it’s a very good dietary alternative for people who have gluten intolerances or celiac disease.

Ingredients:

*Buckwheat flour – 1 cup
*Grated carrot – 1 cup ( Pumpkin, bottle gourd or any other vegetable can be added)
*Water – 1-2 cups ( to make the batter smooth)
*Salt – to taste
*Green chilli – 1-2
*Chopped Green Coriander- 2-3 tsp
*Ginger garlic paste- 1-2 tsp or as per taste

Recipe:

*In a mixing bowl take buckwheat flour & all the other ingredients and combine them with water.

*Adjust salt as per your taste. *Consistency should be like normal dosa batter* So adjust water quantity accordingly.

*Heat a griddle on medium flame and grease with some oil or ghee.

*Pour two spoonful of buckwheat batter on tava and spread. This will not spread like normal dosa, just do as much as possible easily. It will be thicker than dosa.

*Apply oil on the top of cheela and sides as well. Let it cook for 30-40 seconds.

*Flip it over to the other side and cook. It should be golden brown after cooking.

*Kuttu ka cheela or buckwheat crepe or falahari cheela is ready to serve with chutney, curd or raita or any sabji.
